Session after Business Meeting to Help SRNAs Transition to Practice

Demystifying the Transition from SRNA to CRNA: An Interactive Q & A Session will take place in room 611-612 immediately after the AANA Business Meeting on Saturday. The session is an opportunity for student registered nurse anesthetists (SRNAs) to ask a panel of experienced CRNAs tough questions and get straight answers about what lies ahead in their career paths. Contract negotiations, practice models, dealing with difficult colleagues, career opportunities, managing student loan debt, becoming involved in your professional association, and work/life balance are among the key takeaways. SRNAs will also be able to network with fellow SRNAs from across the country.

No CRNAs will be allowed to attend this session (other than the panel), and participants will be asked to take their name tags off prior to entering so that they remain anonymous. A few prizes will be raffled off as well. All SRNAs with questions about entering the profession should plan to attend.
