Airway on Demand (7 Class A CE)

The workshop will provide didactic and hands-on pig trachea lab learning opportunities aimed at reinforcing learned knowledge and skills, as well as providing an opportunity for new learning related to airway management under both normal and emergent conditions. The morning session is devoted entirely to lectures presented by Dr. Rosenblatt, an expert in airway management.  The workshop will conclude with two hours of hands-on learning using state-of-the-art airway equipment and pig tracheas.

Come join the core faculty of the popular “AANA Obstetric Anesthesia Hands-On Workshop” as they provide an opportunity to address clinical applications of obstetric analgesia/anesthesia. This workshop includes a lecture format that will cover normal and abnormal physiology of pregnancy and techniques.

This workshop will be offered in both the morning and again in the afternoon. The workshops will provide didactic and hands-on training opportunities featuring individualized and group instruction using cardiac and TEE simulation tools and intraoperative recordings to improve the understanding of real-time monitoring of cardiac function. This workshop fulfills a gap in experience that CRNAs have, with limited exposure to the various procedures. Neuromuscular Block Monitoring Workshop (3 Class A CE with 1.25 Pharm)

This workshop, taught by a clinical and leading expert, will examine the incidence and outcomes of residual paralysis. Attendees will learn methods to improve management and reversal of neuromuscular blockade through neuromuscular blockade monitoring technologies, including didactic and hands-on instructions with both qualitative and quantitative monitors.

This interactive workshop is for members identified as State Peer Advisors (SPA). The sessions will impart knowledge, guidelines, requirements, and tools to ensure volunteer readiness to provide helpful peer support to CRNAs and student registered nurse anesthetists with a substance use disorder (SUD). Individuals interested in becoming a SPA in the future are also welcome if space permits.
